Born and raised in Hilo, Hawai'i, Waimapuna Tripp graduated from Waiakea High School and then later pursued College in Los Angeles where she worked as an underwriter for Worldwide In. while training as a self-taught video and script editor.
After moving back home to the Big Island, Puna continued her education at UH Hilo while studying Ayurvedic Medicine, Lāʻau Lapaʻau (Hawaiian Medicinal Practices) and other holistic healing methodologies. Using this inspiration, Puna co-founded a cold-pressed juice & superfood company now known as Hā Tonics. Her mission is to bring healing to the lāhui as a nutritionist, aspiring midwife and storyteller.
Together with her husband, Kawaiola Tripp and his sister, Shelby Tripp, they collaborated to create the epic saga, Legend of the Twin Flames, which highlights women empowerment, ancient mythology and cultural identity.

Kawaiola Tripp - Screenwriter / Director / Executive Producer
Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai’i, Kawaiola grew up attending Kamehameha Schools Hawai'i Campus where he won 1st place in the Hawai’i National History Day Contest for best documentary.
Igniting a passion for storytelling, he went on to California State University Northridge where he worked for the Film & Television Script Library and interned for Will Ferrelʻs companies Gary Sanchez Productions & Funnyordie.com in Hollywood.
After having won a department wide Television Directing contest, R.K.Tripp was chosen as one of 5 students (among 200) to intern for the pre-production department of Lionsgate Entertainment where he studied under the head of Pre-Production, Jina Jones.
After obtaining his B.A. in Cinematic and Television Arts, R.K.Tripp started a small media company called “Tripp Writes Media” which led him to become a lead marketing designer for Moss & Company, one of the largest property management companies in L.A. Although the company continues to utilize his branding and virtual tour strategies till this day, R.K. Tripp has moved back home to Hawai’i with plans to transform the Hawai’i Film Industry and create economic solutions for his island community.
Kawehelani Tripp - Screenwriter / Producer / Actress
Raised in Volcano Town, located just three miles away from the summit of the earth’s most active volcano, Kīlauea, Shelby Kawehelani Tripp attended Waiakea High School while acting in various community plays and musicals.
After graduating, Shelby moved to L.A. where she worked and performed as an actress and entertainer on various plays and media projects. This led her to work as PA and assistant-writer for Alyer Breau with WME.
Shelby went on to work as a pre-production assistant and production manager for Final Cut Collective and Fiesta Studios.
After moving home, Shelby seeks to inspire young women to find their artistic fire and perpetuate ancient Hawaiian morals and values through story-telling.
